DC Hall Effect Current Sensor with Fast, Accurate Response
The Hall effect current sensor by Magnelab works with a fast and accurate response signal that is proportional to the measurement of the primary current. The HT-300M, through its closed loop, enables this. Designed for panel mounting, it is easy to use and operate. There is space for a primary conductor, which can be threaded through easily using the single hole. The rating of these DC current sensors is 300 amperes on continuous operation.
For those who expect to measure a lower current, the HT-200M Hall effect current transducer may be more appropriate. It has an input current of up to 200 amperes only. Both the HT-200M and the HT-300M designed based on the Hall effect principle.
With the HT-300M has a linearity limit of about 500 A of peak value. The linearity accuracy is 0.1% of nominal primary current. It has a coil resistance of 22 ohms. The delay time for this CT is only 0.1 microsecond. Overall, it is very similar to the HT-200M and designed to operate at a temperature range of 0 degree to 70 degrees Celsius. Each weighs just 110 grams and housing is constructed from modified polyphenylene oxide. The zero offset per temperature is less than 5 microamperes per degree Celsius while the zero offset per supply variation is less than 5 microamperes per volt. The nominal power supply is plus or minus 15 volts with a variation of plus or minus 5 percent.
